The Summit of Storm PeaksLevel 80 Gems for Emblem of Heroism
If you were cheap like me, you probably haven’t upgraded all your Gems yet to the Blue quality level 80 Gems yet. Especially the Red Sockets in which the [Runed Scarlet Ruby] were going for around 150g each on my server. With the latest patch (3.0.8), you can now turn in your [Emblem of Heroism] for the raw gems. You can find the vendor, Harold Winston at the Jewelcrafting trainer in Dalaran.
As you can see, it will cost you 10 x [Emblem of Heroism] for each raw gem you want. Not a bad deal at all. No more excuses to not having my Gems all upgraded now.

Thank goodness I levelled up a JC’ing alt. I’m still a bit behind on emblem farming, since I’m pretty much doign a bunch of things at once between 3 characters. Still, it’s a fantastic option to have for those who don’t have the luxury of multiple characters.

I wonder if this change will further drive the price of cobalt / saronite ore down. This change, while it may seem minor, will have a pretty big impact on ore and gem prices in the coming weeks imo.
