Hobbes Has Been Tamed
BRK may have stepped down from his hunter blog to let his brain run free, but his faithful pet Hobbes has other plans. He will still continue his adventures in Azeroth, not as a faithful pet, but now as faithful steed.
I’ve been revered with the Wintersaber Trainers since before Wrath hit, but could never keep myself awake for more than 2 runs through the quests at a time. It was torture to rep, even with Diplomacy (I’m SO glad I’m human).
It takes me around 30 minutes to do one run at the quests (3 quests total), and it yields me 935 rep as a human. The drop rate for one of the quests is horrible, and the location for the other two quests are so far apart that it requires a lot of travel time.
It is worst when there are other players doing the same rep grind. The two quests where you need to kill a certain number of mobs is hard to complete when they have already been cleared out. You find yourself waiting for them to respawn most of the time.
It was a pain, but I’m glad it’s over with. I can’t say that it was worth all the trouble, but its nice to have something that makes you stand out from the rest of the players. Not only did I get my [Reins of the Winterspring Frostsaber], but I got the “40 Exalted Reputations” Achievement too! That gave me a new title: Utada the Exalted.
If you are planning on getting the wintersaber mount, then you might as well rep up with the Timbermaw Hold faction as well. The mobs that you kill for the Wintersaber rep, will also drop items that will yield rep for the Timbermaw Hold as well. Might as well get a fury bear friend out of it too!
Grats. Big scores for a long grind!
