By the Power of Greyskull!
First of all, if you don’t know what the title of this post means, then shame on you for missing out one of the best Saturday cartoon in the 80’s through the 90’s. It had Warriors, the undead, tiger mounts, even a Mage!
Wait what was I going to talk about again? Oh right, I was going to talk about [The Skull of Gul'dan] not The Master of the Universe.
I am going to take the opportunity to show you guys the Skull trinket in action, and educated the masses on who Dr. Boom is, and what people use him for.
Dr. Boom is an NPC located right outside Area 52 in Netherstorm at the location: (34.6, 59.1). He is a Goblin (humanoid) with 650,000 Hit points who attacks by sending out waves of Boom Bots. However these Boom Bots detonate when they travel about 25 yards or so, making Dr. Boom a sitting duck to any players any ranged attacks.
His high health pool and inability to attack players makes him the ideal target for testing out DPS, Spell Rotations, Mana Efficiency, Crit Rate, you name it. Just be on the look out for the opposing faction if you are on a PvP server. Although Dr. Boom may not hurt you, the Horde (or Alliance) can.
Now for The Skull of Gul’dan. You already know what it does, now I will show you what it looks like. One of the effects is that it turns your character into a shadowy figure. Sort of like Shadow Form for Priests. Another effect is that your entire body looks like it is burning, and your hands give off a burning glow. Not only that, it leaves a trail of fire when you move around. How awesome is that?!
Frostfire Shadow Mage!
Dear Blizz: Give Frost Mages the ablilty to fly around like Iceman.
And now a video of The Skull of Gul’dan and Icy Veins used together. I think for now I will go with the Skull + IV setup until I actually sit down and calculate the DPS for each combination.
